Akulichev Victor Anatolievich
was born on January 31, 1939, in Shpola, Ukraine (Cherkassk region);
graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute in 1961;
expert in ocean acoustics, hydrophysics and mechanics of wave processes;
Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences; Professor.
Corresponding member since December 15, 1990; Department of Engineering Problems, Mechanics and Control Processes, RAS.
A full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Academician) since 26 May, 2000; Department of Earth Sciences, RAS.
A member of the Presidium of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
Director of Pacific Oceanological Institute of the FEB RAS (city of Vladivostok);
Head of the Laboratory of Applied Hydrophysics of the Institute of Marine Technology Problems, FEB RAS;
Head of the Hydrophysics Department of the Far Eastern State University.
